As a native of Zambia, a small African country nestled in the middle of central-southern Africa, I encountered many artisans who were talented, skilled, and passionate about their work—sewing leather goods with dedication, excellence, and focus on quality. However, many lacked a channel through which to share their handmade creations.

I created Modern Native as a way to partner with these local makers and provide a way for them to share their artistic skills and creativity.
