We bring luxury full grain leather and alternative products for the modern city native—while also supporting local artisans, focusing on sustainability, and giving back to local communities where the goods are made.

We work hard to ensure all raw materials used in our products are carefully selected and sourced and that suppliers and partners eliminate waste in an eco-friendly manner. We also partner with wildlife conservation organizations in indigenous parts of central Africa to build awareness of issues and threats against vulnerable species.

At Modern Native, we create an avenue for local artisans to deliver their art crafts on the western market. We buy products at their retail cost to give back and afford local artisans a living wage. In short, when you shop with us you’re buying with a purpose for good.

founder’s story

Daniel, a storyteller, strategist, and founder, is driven by a mission to economically empower artisans through Modern Native Co. or transform a tragic memory of Charlie Kirk’s assassination into a brand identity that resonates with the People of the Way. His passion lies in creating compelling designs, crafting impactful messaging, and seamlessly integrating commerce with meaningful purpose. Every project he undertakes transcends mere sales; it’s about storytelling, soul, and sustainability.

As a native of Zambia, a small African nation nestled in central-southern Africa, Daniel encountered talented artisans who dedicated their lives to sewing leather goods with exceptional skill and unwavering focus on quality. However, many lacked a platform to showcase their handmade creations.

Inspired by this, Daniel founded Modern Native to partner with these local makers and provide them with a means to showcase their artistic talents and creativity. By collaborating with these craftsmen and women, Modern Native not only rewards their labor but also contributes to the improvement and transformation of their communities through its generous giving approach.
